This a mixed media painting, combining watercolor and chalk pastels. The painting is done on 300lb cotton cold-press paper. I created and used a different frame in Softimage for this painting, to enhance the old farm house in the background. The colors and details were also "punched-up" in Photoshop.

This is an original portrait of my great-great grandfather. He was the patriarch of the U.S. Branch of Clan Graham of Montrose. The drawing was done on 60% cotton hot-press board, using Grumbacher Artists Oil Pastels.
